Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

Fuzzy generalized fractional power series technique for simulating fuzzy fractional relaxation problem

open access: yesSoft Computing, 2022
In this paper, the fuzzy generalized fractional power series method is proposed to obtain the numerical solutions of a class of fuzzy fractional relaxation problems. For this purpose, the fuzzy generalized fractional power series under different types of the Caputo generalized Hukuhara differentiability are introduced. Some theorems are generalized for

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Solution of fractional modified Kawahara equation: a semi-analytic approach

open access: yesMathematics in Applied Sciences and Engineering, 2023
The present study examines a semi-analytical method known as the Fractional Residual Power Series Method for obtaining solutions to the non-linear, time-fractional Kawahara and modified Kawahara equations.

Specialisation and Reduction of Continued Fractions of Formal Power Series [PDF]

open access: yesThe Ramanujan Journal, 2005
We discuss and illustrate the behaviour of the continued fraction expansion of a formal power series under specialisation of parameters or their reduction modulo $p$ and sketch some applications of the reduction theorem here proved.

Fractional View Study of the Brusselator Reaction–Diffusion Model Occurring in Chemical Reactions

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
In this paper, we study a fractional Brusselator reaction–diffusion model with the help of the residual power series transform method. Specific reaction–diffusion chemical processes are modeled by applying the fractional Brusselator reaction–diffusion ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Numerical investigation of two-dimensional fuzzy fractional heat problem with an external source variable.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
This study suggests a strategy for calculating the fuzzy analytical solutions to a two-dimensional fuzzy fractional-order heat problem including a diffusion variable connected externally.
