Distortion-free fragile watermark for relational databases

International Journal of Big Data Intelligence, 2016
Unauthorised changes to databases may result in significant losses for organisations. Digital watermarking can be used for protecting the integrity of relational databases. Prior techniques introduce distortions to the watermarked attributes and thus limit their application.

Image authentication by means of fragile CGH watermarking

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
In this paper we propose a fragile marking system based on Computer Generated Hologram coding techniques, which is able to detect malicious tampering while tolerating some incidental distortions. A fragile watermark is a mark that is readily altered or destroyed when the host image is modified through a linear or nonlinear transformation.

A Fragile Watermarking Based on Knapsack Problem

2004
In this paper, a new fragile watermarking is proposed. It is different from most existing schemes to resist the famous birthday attack. The classic NPC problem knapsack problem in algorithm is introduced. It uses a random sequence to encrypt the bit planes of image pixels and regard the encrypted result as the indicative vector for knapsack set. The NP

A Semi-fragile Watermarking Tolerant of Laplacian Sharpening

2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering, 2008
Semi-fragile watermarking technique which aims to discriminate malicious manipulations from admissible manipulations, is drawing many attentions in image authentication. In this paper, a novel semi-fragile image watermarking algorithm that accepts Laplacian sharpening is proposed.

Self-recovery Fragile Watermarking Scheme with Variable Watermark Payload

2012
To take into account security, invisibility and recovery quality, this work proposes a variable-payload self-recovery fragile watermarking scheme. For each block, the watermarks include the total-watermark with variable number of bits and the basic-watermark of length 24 bits.

An improved block dependent fragile image watermark

2003 International Conference on Multimedia and Expo. ICME '03. Proceedings (Cat. No.03TH8698), 2003
Surrounding neighbor blocks dependent fragile watermark scheme has its disadvantages, which couldn't successfully distinguish where the image has been tampered. In this paper, we propose a random block dependant fragile image watermark scheme. Two series, one is generated by this block and its prior block, the other is generated by this block itself ...

Effects of Fragile and Semi-fragile Watermarking on Iris Recognition System

2015
Security is an important issue in biometric recognition systems. In recent years, many researchers proposed to use watermarking to improve the security of biometric systems, but some people concern whether the embedded watermarks will influence recognition results.

Oblivious fragile watermarking scheme for image authentication

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
An efficient fragile watermarking scheme intended for image authentication and integrity verification is proposed in this work. To watermark the underlying image, the gray scale of each pixel is adjusted by an imperceptible quantity according to the consistency between a key-dependent binary watermark bit and the parity of a bit stream converted from ...

Fragile Watermarking Scheme for Accepting Image Compression

2005
As images are commonly transmitted or stored in compressed form such as JPEG lossy compression, image authentication demands techniques that can distinguish incidental modifications (e.g., compression) from malicious ones. In this paper, we propose an effective technique for image authentication which can prevent malicious manipulations but allow JPEG ...
