An Analysis of Packet Fragmentation Impact in LPWAN

open access: yes, 2018
Packet fragmentation has mostly been addressed in the literature when referring to splitting data that does not fit a frame. It has received attention in the IoT community after the 6LoWPAN working group of IETF started studying the fragmentation headers

Fragmentation of Andes-to-Amazon connectivity by hydropower dams

open access: yesScience Advances, 2018
Hydropower development in the Andean Amazon has been underestimated and will disrupt connected human and natural systems. Andes-to-Amazon river connectivity controls numerous natural and human systems in the greater Amazon.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

POLYSEMY OF ORGANIZATIONS AND ORGANIZATION OF POLYSEMY: A FRENCH APPROACH [PDF]

open access: yesManagement & Marketing, 2010
The concept of organization, as support for collective action, is polysemic, paradoxical, and inevitable. It catalyzes the conflicting perceptions of living together and, in return, we can ask not only how "little arrangements" needed to coexist or to ...

Triphoton production at hadron colliders

open access: yes, 2014
We present next-to-leading order predictions for the production of triphoton final states at the LHC and the Tevatron. Our results include the effect of photon fragmentation for the first time and we are able to quantify the impact of different isolation

Fragments, fragmentations

open access: yesCalenda, 2019

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Electroweak fragmentation functions for dark matter annihilation

open access: yes, 2014
Electroweak corrections can play a crucial role in dark matter annihilation. The emission of gauge bosons, in particular, leads to a secondary flux consisting of all Standard Model particles, and may be described by electroweak fragmentation functions ...

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.
