Complete results for free and forced vibrations of inerter-added one-degree-of-freedom systems [PDF]
A comprehensive study on the influence of an inerter on the response of single-degree-of-freedom systems is presented; therefore, complete and thorough results for free and forced vibrations of linear SDOF systems with inerter are obtained.

This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Reduced-order modelling of vortex-induced vibration of catenary riser [PDF]
A new reduced-order model capable of analyzing the vortex-induced vibration of catenary riser in the ocean current has been developed. This semi analytical-numerical approach is versatile and allows for a significant reduction in computational effort for

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Analysis of the free vibration of a coupled plate/fluid interacting system and interpretation using sub-system modal energy [PDF]
This paper describes a method for describing and quantifying the vibratory behaviour of interacting structural/fluid systems based upon reference to the relative energy associated with each of the sub-systems.

Role of Intrinsic Electron Trapping in Negative Charging of Amorphous Alumina
Intrinsic electron trapping in amorphous Al2O3 is examined using hybrid‐DFT models spanning a wide density range. Both spontaneous and thermally activated trapping are identified, with pronounced spontaneous localization in dense, partly crystallized structures.

Coupled BEM and FEM in Dynamic Analysis of Tanks Filled with a Liquid
In this paper the numerical procedure based on a coupling the finite element formulation and the boundary element method is developed for the forced vibration analysis of shells of revolution partially filled with the fluid. We obtained numerical results
