Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Automatic quotients of free groups
Automatic groups admitting prefix-closed automatic structures with uniqueness are characterized as the quotients of free groups by normal subgroups possessing sets of free generators satisfying certain language-theoretic ...

On some groups whose subnormal subgroups are contranormal-free [PDF]
If $G$ is a group, a subgroup $H$ of $G$ is said to be contranormal in $G$ if $H^G = G$, where $H^G$ is the normal closure of $H$ in $G$. We say that a group is contranormal-free if it does not contain proper contranormal subgroups.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Hyperbolic Endomorphisms of Free Groups
We prove that ascending HNN extensions of free groups are word-hyperbolic if and only if they have no Baumslag-Solitar subgroups. This extends Brinkmann\u27s theorem that free-by-cyclic groups are word-hyperbolic if and only if they have no Z2 subgroups.

Graphs of subgroups of free groups
We construct an efficient model for graphs of finitely generated subgroups of free groups. Using this we give a very short proof of Dicks’s reformulation of the strengthened Hanna Neumann Conjecture as the Amalgamated Graph Conjecture.

Stretching One’s Legs: Free Word-Groups vs Idioms [PDF]
The article deals with a corpus-based case study of two somatic/gesture/movement idioms containing the constituent legs, namely Russian protânut’ nogi (to die) and English to stretch one’s legs (to walk around and loosen one’s leg muscles after sitting ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Let \(L\) be a lattice. A group \(G\) is said to be \(L\)-free if the subgroup lattice \(L(G)\) has no sublattice isomorphic to \(L\). The author studies finite groups that are \(L\)-free for the lattices \(L=L_6\) and \(L_7\) with 6 and 7 elements, respectively.
