Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Effect of Freeze-Thaw Cycles Method to Transfersome Characteristics for Growth Protein Encapsulation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Technology
Transfersome, a lipid-based nanovesicle, can be a suitable tool to improve the delivery of valuable growth factors. Through transfersome technology, growth factors and active compounds can be transferred transdermally without the need for invasive ...

Selection of Parameters and Architecture of Multilayer Perceptrons for Predicting Ice Coverage of Lakes

open access: yesEkológia (Bratislava), 2017
The ice cover on lakes is one of the most influential factors in the lakes’ winter aquatic ecosystem. The paper presents a method for predicting ice coverage of lakes by means of multilayer perceptrons.

Modelling the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless Transition in the NiGa_2S_4

open access: yes, 2008
In the two-dimensional superfluidity, the proliferation of the vortices and the anti-vortices results in a new class of phase transition, Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless (BKT) transition. This class of the phase transitions is also anticipated in the two-

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Assessment of changes in the characteristics of the ice regime of the Lower Yenisei in contemporary climatic conditions

open access: yesВодное хозяйство России: проблемы, технологии, управление
The area of Lower Yenisei is a part of the Russian Arctic territory, which is sensitive to modern changes of climatic conditions. Many types of economic activities are associated with the timing and duration of ice phenomena on the rivers of the Arctic ...
