The normal frequencies of oscillation of a fluid inside certain containers are calculated by expressing the velocity potential as a linear combination of harmonic functions each of which satisfies the free-surface boundary condition. The unknown coefficients are then determined by the application of the bottom boundary condition. This is done for three

Frequency Discrimination as a Function of Frequency
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1967The frequency resolution of the human auditory system at high frequencies has been difficult to measure because of the nonlinear response of earphones on real ears at frequencies above approximately 4000 cps. Variation of this response with frequency is sufficiently great that amplitude rather than frequency differences may govern discrimination.

Abstract The brain is an information handling device. The information is coded as the frequency of nerve action potentials. Mechanisms of the encoding and manipulation of information are discussed. A general discussion of the cortex as a frequency generating and frequency sensitive device is given.

The centerpiece of determinacy grammar (DG) is determinacy form (DF). According to DF, a binder (z) binds an argument (x) to a predicate (y) with certain amounts of accuracy (I) and completeness (C), where I and C are defined in terms of frequencies (N): I = N(xy)/N(x) and C = N(xy)/N(y).
