Characterization of an optical frequency comb using modified direct frequency comb spectroscopy
Applied Physics B, 2009We introduce a method for determination of the absolute frequencies of comb lines within the optical frequency comb spectrum. The method utilizes the experimental and theoretical approach of the velocity selective optical pumping of the atomic ground state hyperfne levels induced by resonant pulse train excitation.

Mapping of the Optical Frequency Comb to the Atom Velocity Comb
15th International Conference on Ultrafast Phenomena, 2006We present the experimental and theoretical study of the resonant excitation of rubidium atoms with fs pulse train in the conditions when the pulse repetition period is shorter than the atomic relaxation time. The velocity selective optical pumping of the ground state hyperfine levels and velocity comb-like excited state hyperfine level populations are

Frequency comb metrology at PHz frequencies: Precision in the extreme ultraviolet
2011 XXXth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium, 2011The capability of frequency-comb (FC) lasers to precisely measure optical frequencies is extended to the multiple-PHz domain. This frequency region, which covers the extreme ultraviolet (XUV, wavelengths shorter than 100 nm), was previously not accessible to these devices. Frequency comb generation is shown for 51-85 nm by amplification and coherent up-

Frequency Comb Spectroscopy with Coherent Frequency Combs Generated by Diode Lasers
Frontiers in Optics / Laser Science, 2020We demonstrate frequency combs generated with electrically pumped, commercially grown, quantum well laser diodes. We characterize their coherent output, and demonstrate dual comb absorption spectroscopy conducted with two free-running combs.

Optica Sensing Congress 2023 (AIS, FTS, HISE, Sensors, ES), 2023
The structure of frequency combs, evenly-space light sources, allows for novel strategies in the measurement of optical signals. We discuss ptychoscopy, a method that blends the resolution of heterodyne spectroscopy with the bandwidth of combs.

Asymmetric Magnon Frequency Comb
Nano LettersWe theoretically show the asymmetric spin wave transmission in a coupled waveguide-skyrmion structure, where the skyrmion acts as an effective nanocavity allowing the whispering gallery modes for magnons. The asymmetry originates from the chiral spin wave mode localized in the circular skyrmion wall. By inputting two-tone excitations and mixing them in

2006 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium and Exposition, 2006
The paper describes a regenerative frequency comb generator (RCG) used to synthesize a signal coherent with the input signal with a fractional multiplication of m/n, where the frequency of n is proportional to 1/tau, where tau is the loop delay, and m is a positive integer less than n.

Microresonator Soliton Frequency Comb
2018 European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC), 2018Optical frequency combs in high-Q microresonators can advance timekeeping and frequency metrology, which are amenable to full photonic integration, low power consumption, large bandwidth and high repetition-rate. We will discuss the soliton regime behind such micro-combs and review their applications.
