Frequency-Dependent Electroosmosis [PDF]
This paper presents a theory for frequency-dependent electroosmosis. It is shown that for a closed capillary the electroosmosis frequency-dependent ratio of DeltaV/DeltaP is constant with increasing frequency until inertial effects become prevalent, at which time DeltaV/DeltaP starts to decrease with increasing frequency.

Exploring Passengers’ Dependency Variety on Stations’ Functions in Urban Subway
Urban subway is taken by people in different frequencies, thus leading them to present different dependency varieties on this mode. Yet, how those passengers who possess low dependency on urban subway travel is less investigated.

Frequency-Dependent Action of Neuromodulation [PDF]
In oscillatory circuits, some actions of neuromodulators depend on the oscillation frequency. However, the mechanisms are poorly understood. We explored this problem by characterizing neuromodulation of the lateral pyloric (LP) neuron of the crab stomatogastric ganglion (STG).

Kinship as a frequency dependent strategy [PDF]
Humans divide themselves up into separate cultures, which is a unique and ubiquitous characteristic of our species. Kinship norms are one of the defining features of such societies. Here we show how norms of marital residence can evolve as a frequency-dependent strategy, using real-world cases from southwestern China and an evolutionary game model. The

Arterial Pressure Variation as a Biomarker of Preload Dependency in Spontaneously Breathing Subjects - A Proof of Principle. [PDF]
Pulse (PPV) and systolic pressure variation (SPV) quantify variations in arterial pressure related to heart-lung interactions and have been introduced as biomarkers of preload dependency to guide fluid treatment in mechanically ventilated patients ...

This paper provides a new nonparametric framework for studying the dynamics of the state vector and its associated risk prices. Specifically, in a general setting where the stochastic discount factor (SDF) decomposes into permanent and transitory components, we analyze their contribution to the unconditional asset return premium using frequency domain ...

Face-evoked steady-state visual potentials: effects of presentation rate and face inversion
Face processing can be explored using electrophysiological methods. Research with event-related potentials (ERPs) has demonstrated the so-called face inversion effect, in which the N170 component is enhanced in amplitude and latency to inverted, compared
