Tristron- a frequency multiplier

International Conference on Actual Problems of Electron Devices Engineering, 2004. APEDE 2004., 2005
Investigation of harmonics of a current in tristron is executed by numerical modelling. It is shown, that tristron can be an effective frequency multiplier. Designing of tristron on frequency of 2450 MHz with electronic efficiency of 60 percent is executed.

A new frequency multiplier

Electrical Engineering, 1962
A novel arrangement of n transformers delivers power at n times the line frequency. Ratings compare with transformers of the same weight. Waveform and voltage regulation are excellent. An experimental 7X unit with 60-cycle input gave 3.6 kw of 420-cycle output at approximately 90% efficiency. An additional 5X stage gave 2,100 cycles.

A simple frequency multiplier

International Journal of Electronics, 1977
The paper describes a scheme of a frequency multiplier that can be used for multiplying the frequency by n times. By connecting such m circuits in sequence it is possible to achieve frequency multiplication of mn.

Charge storage frequency multipliers

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1968
Frequency multiplication by means of a nonlinear charge storage element is investigated. This element is assurmed to have an abrupt transition from an infinite to a zero capacitance. An analysis of a frequency multiplier circuit utilizing such an element is carried out with certain limitations imposed on the mode of operation in order to make possible ...

Programmable Digital Frequency Multiplier

20th International Conference on VLSI Design held jointly with 6th International Conference on Embedded Systems (VLSID'07), 2007
A programmable digital frequency multiplier with wide multiplication factor range and low lock time is presented. A digital algorithm is used to generate output frequency and an inbuilt PVT compensation mechanism ensures good frequency stability if there is any change in voltage and temperature during circuit operation. The circuit has been designed in

Millimeter wave frequency multiplier

International Journal of Infrared and Millimeter Waves, 1981
The GaAs Schottky diode mounted in a crossed waveguide structure gives much more efficient conversion than previously used point contact devices, and the power output at the second harmonic is sufficient for use in recently developed cryogenically cooled mixers [10, 11].

Symmetrical frequency multiplier circuits

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part I: Communication and Electronics, 1960
In recent times there has been considerable renewed interest in the use of static magnetic cores to produce power at a multiple of the frequency of a power source. Generally in these circuits, nonlinear magnetic reactors are connected in a symmetrical multiphase fashion, using the cores to produce harmonics and using symmetrical interphase connections ...

Charge injection frequency multiplier

Applied Physics Letters, 1992
We propose a novel frequency doubler, implemented in three terminal semiconductor heterostructures. This device represents a natural embodiment of the symmetry of hot-electron injection with respect to the polarity of the heating voltage. An efficient frequency doubling, comprising conversion gain with low harmonic distortion of the output signal was ...
