Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Gradient descent based dynamic optimization for VSG dominated microgrid

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering
As the integration of distributed generation units into the power grid continues to grow, the system becomes increasingly vulnerable to power fluctuations and potential failures, which significantly challenge grid stability.

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

An Inertia Reserve Capacity Planning Method for Power Systems Considering Risk Preference

open access: yesIEEE Access
The traditional reserve planning method implicitly includes inertia in the frequency response reserve without realizing separate and accurate planning for inertia reserve, and cannot consider the risk preference of the decision maker, which leads to the ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Enhancing grid frequency regulation in low inertia modern multi‐area power systems using cascaded non‐integer control approaches with BESS‐based virtual inertia

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation
In modern power systems, the integration of inverter‐based renewable energy sources has significantly reduced system inertia, leading to heightened frequency fluctuations and potential instability within multi‐area interconnected microgrids.
