SEMICONDUCTOR FREQUENCY STANDARD BASED ON P(16) SPECTRAL LINE OF ACETYLENE ISOTOPE WITH TEMPERATURE STABILIZATION BY PHASE MODULATION [PDF]

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики, 2018
This paper reviews the method of semiconductor laser diode frequency stabilization by phase modulation. Also parameters are identified that affect the quality of stabilization and the estimation of Allan deviation is obtained.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Optical Lattice Trap for Kerr Solitons

open access: yes, 2017
We show theoretically and numerically that dichromatic pumping of a nonlinear microresonator by two continuous wave coherent optical pumps creates an optical lattice trap that results in the localization of intra-cavity Kerr solitons with soliton ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Technical Study on Dual-Mirror Cooperative Frequency-Stabilized Induced Backscatter Angle Control for Locking Zones

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
The backscatter-induced lock-in effect constitutes a primary error source in laser gyroscopes, with the lock-in threshold critically dependent on the magnitude of the backscatter angle. Conventional dual-mirror synchronous frequency stabilization suffers

On the Impact of Amplitude Variation on Interpolated DFT Method and How to Reduce It

open access: yesElektronika ir Elektrotechnika, 2018
The Interpolated DFT is often used to improve frequency estimation of the spectral lines of DFT’s spectrum. If the measured spectral line is distorted the accuracy of Interpolated DFT is decreased. Such distortion could be a result of amplitude variation

Phase Stabilization of a Frequency Comb using Multipulse Quantum Interferometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
From the interaction between a frequency comb and an atomic qubit, we derive quantum protocols for the determination of the carrier-envelope offset phase, using the qubit coherence as a reference, and without the need of frequency doubling or an octave ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
