Comparison of Molecular Iodine Spectral Properties at 514.7 and 532 nm Wavelengths

open access: yesMeasurement Science Review, 2014
We present results of investigation and comparison of spectral properties of molecular iodine transitions in the spectral region of 514.7 nm that are suitable for laser frequency stabilization and metrology of length.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Convergence of the Interior Penalty Integral Equation Domain Decomposition Methodb

open access: yesJournal of Electronic Science and Technology, 2019
To solve electrically large scattering problems with limited memory, a Gauss-Seidel iteration scheme is applied to solve the interior penalty integral equation domain decomposition method.

Real-time Phase Stabilization Utilizing Two Color One-way Frequency Transfer

open access: yes, 2012
The two color one-way frequency transfer in optical fiber is an alternative method to two-way time and frequency transfer that is useful if there are unknown asymmetries in the connection.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

A Pathway to Reduce Energy Consumption in the Thermal Stabilization Process of Carbon Fiber Production

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Process parameters, especially in the thermal stabilization of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers, play a critical role in controlling the cost and properties of the resultant carbon fibers.

Optoacoustic frequency stabilization of a carbon dioxide laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
In this thesis a study has been made of the design, construction and, in particular, frequency stabilization of a d.c. excited carbon dioxide laser. The outline of the theory of the carbon dioxide laser is presented as a prelude to a detailed study of ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
