A terahertz grid frequency doubler [PDF]
We present a 144-element terahertz quasi-optical grid frequency doubler. The grid is a planar structure with bow-tie antennas as a unit cell, each loaded with a planar Schottky diode.

Parallel operation of magnetic frequency triplers.
Magnetic frequency triplers provide high reliability and a good output waveform and therefore have been used widely. This paper reports experiments, analysis and reviews made on the parallel running of two frequency tripler units to increase the capcity of the device.

Broadband high-efficiency frequency triplers
Balanced circuits utilising two diodes can be effectively used in the construction of broadband high-efficiency odd-order frequency multipliers. Using this approach, it has been possible to design and construct a frequency tripler at 100 MHz input frequency with a midband efficiency of 70% and a 3 dB fractional bandwidth of 45%.

Design of W Band Frequency Synthesizer Using Frequency Tripler [PDF]
This work presents a W band frequency synthesizer which is composed of 26 GHz VCO, Phase Locked Loop and frequency tripler using 65 nm RF CMOS process. Frequency tuning range of 26 GHz VCO covers the band from 22.8~26.8 GHz and final output frequency of the tripler is from 74 to 75.6 GHz.

Microwave Photonic Frequency Tripler Based on an Integrated Dual-Parallel Modulator Structure
A new technique for tripling the frequency of a microwave signal is presented. It is based on an integrated dual-parallel Mach–Zehnder modulator, which generates two orthogonally polarised RF modulated optical signals with different modulation ...

Array concepts for solid-state and vacuum microelectronics millimeter-wave generation [PDF]
The authors have proposed that the increasing demand for contact watt-level coherent sources in the millimeter- and submillimeter-wave region can be satisfied by fabricating two-dimensional grids loaded with oscillators and multipliers for quasi-optical ...

Measurement of loss in superconducting microstrip at millimeter-wave frequencies [PDF]
We have developed a new technique for accurate measurement of the loss of superconducting microstrips at mm-wave frequencies. In this technique, we optically couple power to slot antenna, which is connected to one port of a hybrid coupler.
