Predicting fresh fruit bunch yield of oil palm
This study aimed to develop the simulation model for predicting fresh fruit bunch (FFB) yield of oil palm through multiple linear regression analysis. Two experiments were conducted at the oil palm plantation of Agricultural and Technology College, Krabi province. Six-year-old Tenera hybrid palms were used for the experiments.

Fresh Fruit Bunches Forecasting with the Double Exponential Smoothing Method
PTPN IV Regional 1 Huta Padang Plantation is an oil palm plantation unit in North Sumatra that manages the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) to produce palm oil. During the harvest process to produce Crude Palm Oil (CPO), a lot is often wasted due to unstable market demand.

Seasonal variation in fresh fruit bunch production in dura oil palm
An attempt was made to study the temporal variation in the Fresh Fruit Bunche’s (FFB) production in dura palms at Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research, Pedavegi, Andhra Pradesh. The performance of the two D × D cross combinations, viz. 240D × 281D (CC1 palms) and 80D × 281D (CC2 palms) planted in the year 2000 in terms of number and weight of ...

The relative abundance of crop and natural food influences crop consumption by brown bears
Many mammalian species now inhabit anthropogenic landscapes, and human–wildlife conflicts, particularly pertaining to crop damage, have become a significant issue. To develop more effective measures to limit crop damage caused by wildlife, it is crucial to identify how natural and anthropogenic food availability affect crop use by wildlife in the ...

Effect of Charging Parameter on Fruit Battery-Based Oil Palm Maturity Sensor
Oil palm is one of the key industries highly observed in Malaysia, due to its high demand both whether locally or internationally. The oil extraction rate (OER) in palm oil production is used as an element to identify the performance of the mills ...

Betsiboka, a female red ruffed lemur (Varecia rubra) eating Carolina redroot in the Tower forest. ABSTRACT Lemurs are severely threatened due to anthropogenic habitat loss and climate change. Therefore, understanding how lemurs adapt their diets to novel habitats is critically important for maintaining healthy wild populations and effectively managing ...

Abstract This article explores the ways in which ‘forest school’, an educational approach where children engage in creative and play based activities in a ‘natural’ environment, can contribute towards Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15) by promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems and by helping address biodiversity loss. Drawing on data

We used iNaturalist records, a longitudinal field survey, and a simulated herbivory experiment to explore how insect herbivory factors are associated with Cornus canadensis fruit production. Naturally observed internal and external insect herbivory was mostly low intensity and did not have a strong relationship with fruit production.
