Design of Novel Compound Fresnel Lens for High-Performance Photovoltaic Concentrator
We present a new design of compound Fresnel-R concentrator which is composed of two lenses: a primary lens (Fresnel lens) that works by total internal reflection at outer sawteeth but refraction at inner sawteeth, and a ringed secondary lens that works ...

Design of an improved Fresnel prism
Based on the optimization of the optical material and internal reflection angle, we designed a model of improved Fresnel prism that is insensitive to the angle of incidence. In this device, the incident light is reflected twice at the same internal reflection angle on the interface between two kinds of glass and the air.

Fresnel analysis of Kretschmann geometry with a uniaxial crystal layer on a three-layered film
The use of total internal reflection within the prism coupling scheme is a simple approach to the generation of surface plasmon polariton waves on a metal/dielectric interface.

In this study, we present and demonstrate a new route to a great enhancement in resolution of surface plasmon resonance sensors. Basically, our approach combines a waveguide coupled plasmonic mode and a kind of Au/Ag bimetallic enhancement concept ...

Electronic detection of surface plasmon polaritons by metal-oxide-silicon capacitor
An electronic detector of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) is reported. SPPs optically excited on a metal surface using a prism coupler are detected by using a close-coupled metal-oxide-silicon (MOS) capacitor. Incidence-angle dependence is explained by
