Experimental analysis of fretting related acoustic emission signals
SPIE Proceedings, 2011Mating parts often experience repetitive relative motion termed fretting which results in friction, wear, as well as acoustic emission signals. Acoustic emission signals have the potential for monitoring the condition of the surfaces participating in the frictional process.

Automated Image Analysis of FRET Signals for Subcellular cAMP Quantification
2015A variety of FRET probes have been developed to examine cAMP localization and dynamics in single cells. These probes offer a readily accessible approach to measure localized cAMP signals. However, given the low signal-to-noise ratio of most FRET probes and the dynamic nature of the intracellular environment, there have been marked limitations in the ...

Quantification and Comparison of Signals Generated by Different FRET-Based cAMP Reporters
2019A variety of FRET-based biosensors are currently in use for real-time monitoring of dynamic changes of intracellular cAMP. Due to differences in sensor properties, unique features of the cell type under examination and diverse specifications of the imaging setups in different laboratories, data generated using these sensors may not be immediately ...

Integrated Visible optical filter and photodetector for detection of FRET signals
MRS Proceedings, 2014ABSTRACTIn this paper we present a multilayer device based on a-Si:H/a-SiC:H that operates as photodetector and optical filter. The use of such device in protein detection applications is pertinent in Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) measurements that demand the detection of visible fluorescent signals located at specific wavelengths bands.
