THE DIFFERENTIAL CRITERIONOF THE TRANSITION IN THE [PDF]

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate, 2012
Fretting is now fully identified as a small amplitude oscillatory motion which induces aharmonic tangential force between two surfaces in contact. It is related to three main loadings, i.e.fretting-wear, fretting-fatigue and fretting corrosion.

Nanomaterials for Allergy Diagnosis and Treatment: Advances, Opportunities and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials offer dual applications in allergy management. For diagnosis, nanomaterials enhance analytical sensitivity and improve detection in specific IgE and functional assays such as the basophil activation test (BAT). For allergen‐specific immunotherapy, nanomaterials enable allergen masking and controlled release, and effectively modulate the ...

Fretting wear performances of multilayered PVD TiAlZrN/TiAlN/TiAl on AISI 4140 steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Nowadays, most surface treatments are realized through vapor deposition techniques as thin hard coatings to guarantee; high surface hardness, low friction coefficient and improve wear resistance.

CHCHD10 Mitigates Alzheimer's Disease‐Related Phenotypes in Association With Epigenetic Remodeling in Directly Reprogrammed Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CHCHD10 loss in Alzheimer's disease is associated with mitochondrial dysfunction, epigenomic disruption, and tau pathology. Restoration of CHCHD10 shifts DNA methylation toward a non‐disease state and reduces tau and amyloid pathology, with KATNAL2 acting as a downstream effector.

Catalyst Hide‐and‐Seek Beneath Porous Support Surfaces: Pinpointing Active Site Distribution Through Resonance Energy Transfer

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Like a shark playing hide‐and‐seek in a coral reef, energy transfer (ET) finds hidden “fish” catalysts in the porous support “reef.” ET allows catalytic species to be precisely mapped, revealing whether they reside near the surface, deep in the pores, or are uniformly distributed. This approach ensures controlled catalyst distribution, highlighting how

The contact resistance force relationship of an intrinsically conducting polymer interface

open access: yes, 2006
Investigations on contact connector materials for different applications such as in the automotive industry have focused toward the increasing interest of using conducting polymers, as compared to conventional metallic contacts.

Efficient Polaron Recombination and Fast Energy Transfer in a Deep Blue Phosphorescent Pt(II) Complex via Covalently Fused p‐Type Host

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Achieving high‐efficiency deep‐blue phosphorescent OLEDs is limited by intermolecular kinetic bottlenecks. We overcome this using a single‐molecule fused emitter architecture, Pt‐SP‐tCz, combining a p‐type host and Pt(II) dopant. This design enables zero‐radius intramolecular energy transfer (ZRIET) and a novel ZETPLEX mechanism.

DNA‐Induced Entropic Gain Triggers an Allosteric Switch for Biomolecular Condensation of Heat Shock Transcription Factor 1

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Hsf1 undergoes phase separation around target DNA, activating stress‐responsive transcription. DNA binding tunes conformational dynamics of Hsf1DBD, which propagates through large‐scale domain rearrangements involving DBD–IDR interactions to regulate phase separation. This hierarchical framework illustrates how local structural events at the side chain
