Identification of Wear Coefficient in Archard Model Based on LuGre Friction Model
Advanced Materials Research, 2011Considering the mechanism interaction between the tire tread and road surface, a dynamic model is established based on LuGre friction model in this paper. The parameter identification of wear coefficient in Archard model is proceeded by simulation in accordance with the experiment data in the correlative references based on the computational method of ...

Friction Models for a Sustainable Design: Friction Coefficient in Lubricated Conformal Pairs
2023Tribological aspects must be taken into account for a sustainable design of new components and materials developed to obtain weight reduction and greater efficiency. Reducing friction and wear produces energy and material savings, both connected with several Sustainable Development Goals.

Choice of friction coefficient deeply affects tissue behaviour in epithelial vertex models
2022ABSTRACTTo understand the mechanisms that coordinate the formation of biological tissues, the use of numerical implementations is necessary. The complexity of such models involves many assumptions and parameter choices that result in unpredictable consequences, obstructing the comparison with experimental data.

Estimation of Road Friction Coefficient Based on the Brush Model
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 2011Road friction coefficients are highly effective for advanced vehicle control technologies, although the estimation at four individual tires has not been practically used for ordinary vehicles. This study describes the essential relation between the tire forces and the aligning torque that can be rearranged as an estimation equation for the grip margin.

Modeling golf ball roll with a variable coefficient of friction
Sports EngineeringEngineering of Sport 15 - Proceedings from the 15th International Conference on the Engineering of Sport (ISEA 2024) A golf putt can be broken down into three main sections: a bouncing phase, a skidding phase, and a rolling phase. In many current models of the rolling phase, the interaction between the golf ball and turf is represented with a retarding
