Objective In complex diseases, it is challenging to assess a patient's disease state, trajectory, treatment exposures, and risk of multiple outcomes simultaneously, efficiently, and at the point of care. Methods We developed an interactive patient‐level data visualization and analysis tool (VAT) that automates illustration of the trajectory of a ...

The influence of surface hardning of pins on the longevity of hauling chains of conveyors [PDF]
It is show that the friction strengthening essentially increases the conveyors chain durability. Thus, under friction without lubrication the wear-resistance of a pair of 40HN2MA and 40HN2MA steel increases more than in 8 times after friction ...

Objective Somatic items used in depression assessments can potentially overlap with symptoms related to physical illness, including systemic sclerosis (SSc). No studies have looked at whether somatic depression items may be influenced by diffuse versus limited SSc disease subtypes, which are associated with varying degrees of symptom presentation.

Tribological properties of nano-BN/TiN lubricating additives modified with oleic acid
BN, TiN and BN/TiN nano-additives were modified by oleic acid, characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The tribological properties of lubricating oil nano-additives were tested by four-ball friction and wear tester.

Tribological properties of IF-MoS
Friction and wear behaviors of different concentrations of IF-MoS2 nanoparticles in SAE 20W40 were studied. First of all tribological tests with SAE 20W40 + IF-MoS2 were carried out on a four ball wear test machine as per ASTM D 4172 standard to study ...

RESEARCH OF ADAPTIVE FRICTION CLUTCH WITH DIFFERENTIATED FRICTION PAIRS
The problem of the clutch operation accuracy increase without introducing material changes into its construction is solved on the ground of N.D. Verner's construction of the adaptive lamellar clutch which friction group consists of disks made from the materials with different friction values.

Friction torque, temperature and roughness in roll-slip phenomenon for polymer–steel contacts [PDF]
The current study gives an insight of the roll-slip phenomenon of polymer-metal pair where priority is given to measurement techniques, test duration and the behavior of the polymer. A systematic tribological measurement was used to identify the friction

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.
