Chiral‐at‐Metal Racemization of Tris‐Chelated Octahedral Complexes: A DFT Case Study of Al(acnac)3

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Racemization and isomerization of M(a‐chel)3 complexes was unraveled using Al(acnac)3 as a model. The ∆/Λ‐fac isomers have four racemization paths of which one includes isomerization to and racemization of the mer isomer. N‐substitution should enable separation of the ∆‐fac and Λ‐fac enantiomers.

Methanol With Increased Water Content in Internal Combustion Engines

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This study investigates the potential to improve overall Well‐to‐Wheel efficiency by using low‐purity methanol from synthesis of hydrogen and furnace gas as CO2‐source. Combustion efficiency is comparable to pure methanol, while distillation energy could be saved.

Occurrence of severe slugging in oil production lines and mitigation methods: A numerical simulation approach using ALFAsim®

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract Severe slugging represents a major challenge in offshore production systems, potentially compromising operational stability and the integrity of installations. Although established simulators such as OLGA® are widely used for its analysis, there is a gap in the literature regarding the application of the one‐dimensional simulator ALFAsim® for ...

Managing with CARE: Family‐Level Outcomes of Environmental, Social, and Governance Practices in Family Firms

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT ESG practices offer various benefits for family firms; however, there has been limited focus on how these practices can specifically advantage the owning family. To address this gap, we conduct a multiple‐case study of six Italian family firms.

How Firms ‘Speak’ Social: Disclosure Posture as a Stable Strategic Communication Construct in ESG Reporting

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Why do firms subject to identical ESG reporting requirements nevertheless ‘speak’ the Social pillar in different ways? Some foreground numerical indicators; others rely on narrative accounts of policies, systems and stakeholder engagement. This variation in disclosure form, rather than in disclosure coverage, motivates this exploratory study ...
