Background: Studies have shown that levels of serum markers of Down's syndrome were altered in pregnancies conceived after IVF, though the reason for this remains unknown. Methods: Second-trimester maternal serum levels of hCG and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)

ABSTRACT Background Challenges in establishing clinical conventional in vitro fertilization (IVF) in horses include variation in sperm and oocyte quality, which can be affected by mare age. Extended preincubation of stallion spermatozoa has resulted in successful IVF.

ABSTRACT Background Sperm acquire fertility ability during epididymal maturation mainly in the epididymal caput and corpus, and once matured, are stored in the epididymal cauda. During storage, interactions with cauda epididymosomes (epEVs) may influence sperm fertility potential; however, the role of such interactions on sperm fertility remains ...

ABSTRACT Background Oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (OAT), characterized by reduced sperm count, impaired motility, and abnormal morphology, is a major cause of male infertility with substantial genetic heterogeneity. However, the underlying genetic etiology remains unresolved in a large proportion of affected individuals.

The hfPSC‐LCs could be established from naïve hESCs, conventional hESCs, hiPSCs, and human blastocysts. The hfPSC‐LCs hold robust capacity for three germ layers, hPGCLCs, and hALPCs. ABSTRACT Human embryos undergo pivotal morphogenetic remodelling shortly after implantation. The understanding of this crucial stage is severely impeded by the scarcity of

Congenital dyserythropoietic anemia type I (CDA‐I) arises from mutations in Codanin1 and CDIN1. Using quantitative biophysical approaches, we show that disease‐associated mutations disrupt the CDIN1‐Codanin1 complex. Our findings provide critical insights into the molecular mechanism that links protein dysfunction to disturbing chromatin arrangement ...

A noncanonical role for Jagged1 in endothelial mechanotransduction
This study reveals a noncanonical role for Jagged1 in endothelial mechanotransduction. Shear stress modulates Jagged1 expression and subcellular localization. Loss of Jagged1 attenuates mechanotransduction and reduces Src, VEGFR2, and ERK signaling. Direct mechanical stimulation of Jagged1 induces activation of these signaling pathways.
