A fructan: fructan fructosyltransferase activity from Lolium rigidum [PDF]
SUMMARYFructan: fructan fructosyltransferase (FFT) activity was purified about 300‐fold from leaves of Lolium rigidum Gaudin by a combination of affinity chromatography, gel filtration, anion exchange and isoelectric focusing. The FFT activity was free of sucrose: sucrose fructosyltransferase and invertase activities.

Garlic polysaccharides (GP) demonstrated potential against functional constipation. In vitro, GP exhibited digestive resistance properties and boosted beneficial Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. In constipated mice, GP alleviated constipation by reducing oxidative stress and repairing the mechanical, chemical, and immune barriers.
