Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

Memristive Physical Reservoir Computing
Memristors’ nonlinear dynamics and input‐dependent memory effects make them ideal candidates for high‐performance physical reservoir computing (RC). Based on their conductance modulation, memristors can be classified as electronic or optoelectronic types.

PROPAGATION OF NEW BLACKBERRY CULTIVARS FOR PRODUCING CERTIFIED PROPAGATION MATERIAL [PDF]
The purpose of this research was to study the behaviour of two new Romanian thorn blackberry cultivars DAR 24 and DAR 8 in process of micropropagation, compared with Darrow cultivar usually commercially micropropagated in our laboratory.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERSPECTIVES ON STONE FRUIT GROWING ON SANDY SOILS
Climatic conditions in the sandy soils of southern Oltenia encourage cultivation of tree species in terms of applying specific technologies. Possibility of poor sandy soils fertile capitalization, earliness in 7- 10 days of fruit ripening , high yields ...

Trophic Diversity in Duckweed: Mixotrophy, More Than the Sum of its Extremes
In the context of rising DOC in aquatic environments, mixotrophic duckweed may impact carbon cycling by acting as either a carbon sink, as they absorb CO2 through photosynthesis, or a carbon source, as they release CO2 through respiration of absorbed DOC, which depends on DOC concentration, light availability, temperature, and other environmental ...

THE EVALUATION OF FRUITS QUALITY IN SOME STRAWBERRY CULTIVARS (FRAGARIA X ANANASSA L. DUCH.) [PDF]
The major factors influencing the strawberries quality are the genotype, culture technology, climatic conditions and harvest time. In Romania consumers like strawberry fruits especially picked in May to June season, in that period having better ...

Heat Shock Protein 90: From Molecular Chaperone Function to Therapeutic Targeting in Malignancies
In this review, an integrated conceptual framework linking HSP90's molecular chaperone functions to its pathological roles in cancer is proposed. HSP90 serves as a central node that integrates oncogenic signaling, buffers proteotoxic stress, maintains cancer stem cell plasticity, and shapes tumor‐immune interactions, all of which converge to drive ...

Functional characterization of SlscADH1, a fruit-ripening associated short-chain alcohol dehydrogenase of tomato [PDF]
A tomato short-chain dehydrogenase-reductase (SlscADH1) is preferentially expressed in fruit with a maximum expression at the breaker stage while expression in roots, stems, leaves and flowers is very weak.

Stem cell differentiation follows a conserved surface condensate trajectory: H3K27ac super enhancers nucleate large RNA polymerase II clusters that grow and unfold before transcriptional activity disperses them. This work reveals how biophysical forces at enhancer surfaces dynamically build and dismantle stem cell transcription hubs, reshaping cell ...
