Influence of Creaming and Ripening on the Aggregation Rate of Non-Ionic Dodecane-in-Water Nanoemulsions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
The possible influence of creaming during the measurement of the aggregation rate of dodecane-in-water nanoemul- sions stabilized with Brij 30 is explored. For this purpose additional emulsions made with a neutral-buoyancy oil (bro- mo-dodecane) and mixtures of dodecane and Br-dodecane with squalene were synthesized.

Fruit cell culture as a model system to study cell wall changes during strawberry fruit ripening [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa, Duch.) fruit is characterized by its fast ripening and soft texture at the ripen stage, resulting in a short postharvest shelf life and high economic losses.

Responses of Musa AAA Berangan to 1-methylcyclopropene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) is an inhibitor of ethylene perception and has been shown to delay the ripening of Cavendish bananas. Nevertheless, no work has reported the delay in the ripening of local bananas using 1-MCP.

Silencing Sl-EBF1 and Sl-EBF2 expression causes constitutive ethylene response phenotype, accelerated plant senescence, and fruit ripening in tomato [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The hormone ethylene regulates a wide range of plant developmental processes and EBF (EIN3-binding F-box) proteins were shown to negatively regulate the ethylene signalling pathway via mediating the degradation of EIN3/EIL proteins.
