Temporal Immune and Metabolic Shifts Drive the Anti‐Tumor Efficacy of Resiquimod‐Loaded Nanoparticles in Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Peritoneal carcinomatosis is a hard‐to‐treat spread of abdominal cancers that often returns after therapy. Nanoparticles were developed to retain an immune‐boosting drug in the abdomen. When combined with chemotherapy in mice, this approach eliminated tumors in many cases and prevented recurrence, helping the immune system mount a stronger, longer ...

Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

Fruit splitting in ‘Nova’ hybrid mandarin in relation to the anatomy of the fruit and fruit set treatments [PDF]

open access: yesScientia Horticulturae, 1994
Fruit splitting in the mandarin orange cultivar 'Nova' is related to the presence of an open stylar end in the fruit. This opening arises from a cavity present at the bas e of the style, and is formed in a variable proportion of fruits. The cells at the bottom of this style cavity form a rind-like tissue which develop into a navel structure.
