Integration of Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omics in Peach Fruit Unravels a Metabolic Niche and the Genetic Basis of Trichome‐Mediated Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.

Pollination and Resource Constraints on Fruit Set and Fruit Size ofPersoonia rigida(Proteaceae) [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Botany, 1999
Flower and immature fruit abscission can be caused by proximate factors preventing the development of all flowers into mature fruits. Two potential limiting factors, pollen supply and carbohydrate availability, were assessed as relative constraints on accumulation of fruit dry matter in Persoonia rigida (Proteaceae).

Comparative Oligo‐FISH Mapping Illuminates Chromosomal Evolution Among Rutaceae Species Diverged Over 50 Million Years

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligonucleotide‐based fluorescence in situ hybridization probes were developed in the model citrus species Citrus maxima. These probes were applied to comparative karyotyping across 14 species in the Rutaceae family. This analysis revealed chromosomal evolution in lineages that diverged from Citrus nearly 52 million years ago.

Ectopically expressing MdPIP1;3, an aquaporin gene, increased fruit size and enhanced drought tolerance of transgenic tomatoes

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2017
BackgroundWater deficit severely reduces apple growth and production, is detrimental to fruit quality and size. This problem is exacerbated as global warming is implicated in producing more severe drought stress.

Haplotype‐Resolved 3D Genomic Landscapes and Their Impacts on Agronomic Traits in Grapevine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a haplotype‐resolved 3D genomic landscape of grapevine, revealing that structural variations (SVs) are closely associated with phased topologically associating domain (TAD) boundary transitions. These rearrangements coordinate with allele‐specific DNA methylation (ASM) and allele‐biased gene expression (ASE) to shape key agronomic ...

Tetrahedral DNA Nanostructure‐Based Biomimetic Nanovesicles Attenuate Sepsis‐Associated ARDS by Suppressing Glycolysis via the BMAL1/PFKFB3 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon inhalation, RM@TNT could persist long‐term in the diseased lungs, while undergoing disintegration to release TNT specifically within the ROS‐rich pathological microenvironments of SA‐ARDS. The released TNT was then precisely delivered to AMs via Tuftsin, where it released Nob intracellularly to activate BMAL1 expression, thus inhibiting AM ...

The Effect of The Different Training Systems on Yield and Vegetative Growth of “Santa Maria” and “Deveci” Pear Cultivars

open access: yesYüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Tarim Bilimleri Dergisi, 2021
The study was conducted between 2012-2014 in order to determine the effects of the training systems on "Deveci" and "Santa Maria" cultivars grafted on Quince A rootstock. The effect of the training system on the TCSA and canopy volume values of the trees

3D‐Printed Metal‐Supported MOF‐Heteropoly Acid Nanozyme for High‐Performance Peroxidase‐Mimic Activity and Ultra‐Sensitive Glucose Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A hierarchically structured Fe‐BTC‐PMA immobilized 3D‐printed platform is engineered as a robust artificial enzyme for colorimetric glucose sensing. The hybrid architecture efficiently activates H2O2 to drive TMB oxidation. This integrated system enables sensitive, reusable, and scalable detection with enhanced catalytic stability and analytical ...

Pre- dispersal seed loss of Ramorinoa girolae (Fabaceae) in Ischigualasto Provincial Park (San Juan, Argentina

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Argentina de Botánica, 2015
Ramorinoa girolae Speg. is a “vulnerable” tree endemic to Argentina. During the pre-dispersal stage, the seeds are predated by Anypsipyla univitella. The objectives of this study were to describe some reproductive parameters (size and number of fruits ...
