Velocity profiles in shear-banding wormlike micelles [PDF]
Using Dynamic Light Scattering in heterodyne mode, we measure velocity profiles in a much studied system of wormlike micelles (CPCl/NaSal) known to exhibit both shear-banding and stress plateau behavior.

ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

Thinning of 'Golden Delicious' apples with new thinning compounds
Six year old apple trees 'Golden Delicious'/M9 were sprayed with new thinning compounds and their combination. Application of ammonium thiosulphate (ATS) 0.5 % did not thin while ATS 1% doubled the yield of bigger fruits.
