Growth and productivity of plum cultivars on various rootstocks in intensive orchard

open access: yesInternational Journal of Horticultural Science, 2006
Trees of three plum cultivars (Stanley, Cacanska Lepotica and Althann's Gage) were planted at Szigetcsép experimental station in Spring 1994 and trained to slender spindle with the aim to test their growth, effect of productivity under not irrigated ...

Effect of June Yellowbuds on Yield, Fruit Weight, and Fruit Quality in `Blomidon' Strawberry [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 1995
Twelve clones of `Blomidon' strawberry (Fragaria xananassa) exhibiting a range of severity of June Yellows symptoms were grown in field plots to measure effects on productivity. Field plot layout was a randomized block design with four blocks. Plots were matted rows developed from five plants spaced at 45 cm inrow.

Shading Inhibits Sugar Accumulation in Leaf and Fruit of Jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)

open access: yes, 2022
Jujube is a characteristic light-demanding fruit tree, but fruit quality is frequently degraded because of the weak light in protected cultivation facilities in south China.

Heat Shock Protein 90: From Molecular Chaperone Function to Therapeutic Targeting in Malignancies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this review, an integrated conceptual framework linking HSP90's molecular chaperone functions to its pathological roles in cancer is proposed. HSP90 serves as a central node that integrates oncogenic signaling, buffers proteotoxic stress, maintains cancer stem cell plasticity, and shapes tumor‐immune interactions, all of which converge to drive ...

Pear Fruit Growth and the Use of Diameter to Estimate Fruit Volume and Weight

open access: yesHortScience, 1986
Abstract From the mean of weekly measurements of diameter, volume, and weight of the pear ( Pyrus communis L. ‘Bartlett’ and ‘Packham Triumph’), equations were developed for predicting fruit volume and weight from diameter.

Stem Cell Differentiation Disperses Transcriptional Clusters via a Conserved Surface‐Condensate Trajectory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation follows a conserved surface condensate trajectory: H3K27ac super enhancers nucleate large RNA polymerase II clusters that grow and unfold before transcriptional activity disperses them. This work reveals how biophysical forces at enhancer surfaces dynamically build and dismantle stem cell transcription hubs, reshaping cell ...

Effects of the Number of Seeds per Berry on Fruit Growth Characteristics, Especially on the Duration of Stage II in Blueberry

open access: yesPlants, 2018
In present research, differences in the number of seeds per berry (NSB), berry fresh weight (BW), days to ripening from flowering (DRF), and the duration of a slow growth phase (DS II) among pollen sources were investigated in highbush blueberry ...

Thermally Processable, Transparent, Mechanically Tunable and Robust Bioplastics From Wastepaper

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Unlike conventional inefficient or low‐value wastepaper recycling, a directional transformation strategy is employed to convert whole wastepaper into intact bioplastics with tunable mechanical properties in our work. These bioplastics can be processed into flexible bags or rigid containers and exhibit high transparency, water resistance, repairability,
