Evolutions for FTTH Deployment in the Access Network
IEEE GLOBECOM 2008 - 2008 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2008This paper considers the optical access networks deployment in France and the main technical challenges which are associated to such deployments. Possible evolutions of broadband optical networks are discussed, with the need for adapting both metropolitan and access networks to the customer service demand evolution.

Uncertainty in FTTH splitter installation
Networks, 2017In this article, a problem of rational splitter installation in Fiber‐to‐the‐Home (FTTH) networks is considered. The most expensive and time consuming part of the FTTH deployment is trenching and other labor involved in cable installation. When cables are deployed, the operator can start to connect customers to the network.

An Overview of FTTH for Optical Network
2021This paper represents the work of optical fiber and how it is beneficial for human being. Optical fiber communication is fastest communication as compare to others. The speed of optical fiber communication is just same as speed of light. The loss is minimum in optical fiber communication so that we can transmit the data as far as we want. In this paper,

FTTH deployment taking off in Europe
2008 5th International Conference on Broadband Communications, Networks and Systems, 2008Fibre-to-the-home is becoming the technology of choice for bringing real broadband to the end-user. Fibre not only brings the highest bandwidth, it also enables network operators to build open networks that provide multiple services from multiple service providers.

FTTH experiences in Japan [Invited]
Journal of Optical Networking, 2007Feature Issue on Passive Optical Network Architectures and TechnologiesFiber-to-the-home (FTTH) development in Japan is described. Although the title says Japan, the descriptions are primarily from the standpoint of NTT with overviews of the latest Japanese FTTH market trends and discussion of the driving force behind FTTH growth.

FTTdp: Complementing FTTH in Difficult Areas
Optical Fiber Communication Conference/National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference 2013, 2013In this paper we describe FTTdp (fiber to the distribution point), which delivers “fiber-like” service rates over the existing copper drop wire infrastructure. FTTdp complements FTTH by avoiding the fiber drop cost in difficult areas.
