Fučik Spectrum for the Second Order BVP with Nonlocal Boundary Condition

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2007
We construct the Fučik spectrum for some second order boundary value problem with nonlocal boundary condition. This spectrum differs essentially from the known Fučik spectra.

ESPECTRO DE FUČIK PARA EL PROBLEMA DE VALOR FRONTERA STURM-LIOUVILLE [PDF]

open access: yesPesquimat, 2014
In this article, we consider the Fučik equation in Ω = < 0, π > with Sturm-Liouville boundary conditions. We obtain its Fučik spectrum also the complete description and properties of the curves on it.

On nonlinear fučik type spectra [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2008
Eigenvalue problems of the form x″ = -λf(x+) + μg(x-), x(0) = 0, x(1) = 0 are considered, where x+ and x− are respectively the positive and the negative parts of x. We are looking for (λ, μ) such that the problem has a nontrivial solution.

First curve of Fucik spectrum for the p-fractional Laplacian operator with nonlocal normal boundary conditions [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
In this article, we study the Fucik spectrum of the p-fractional Laplace operator with nonlocal normal derivative conditions which is defined as the set of all $(a,b)\in\mathbb{R}^2$ such that $$\displaylines{ \Lambda_{n,p}(1-\alpha)(-\Delta)_{p ...

Discrete analogue of Fučik spectrum of the Laplacian [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The discrete analog of the Fučik spectrum for elliptic equations, namely M-matrices, is shown to have properties analogous to the continuum. In particular, the Fučik spectrum of a M-matrix contains a continuous and decreasing curve which is symmetric ...

THE FUCIK SPECTRUM FOR A COUPLED SYSTEM WITH NO CHANGING SIGN SOLUTIONS

open access: yesPesquimat, 2014
In this work we study the Fucik spectrum for the following system of secondorder ordinary differential equations where Bu = 0 represents the Dirichlet or Newmann type boundary conditions.

On the Fučík type problem with integral nonlocal boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
The Fučík equation $x''=-\mu x^++\lambda x^-$ with integral nonlocal boundary value conditions $x(0)=x(1)=\gamma\int_0^1 x(s)ds$ is considered where $\mu, \lambda, \gamma\in\mathbb{R}$. The Fučík spectrum for this problem is constructed.

Boundary Value Problems for a Super‐Sublinear Asymmetric Oscillator: The Exact Number of Solutions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Properties of asymmetric oscillator described by the equation x′′=−λ(x+)p+μ(x−)q (i), where p ≥ 1 and 0 < q ≤ 1, are studied. A set of (λ, μ) such that the problem (i), x(0) = 0 = x(1) (ii), and |x′(0)| = α (iii) have a nontrivial solution, is called α‐spectrum. We give full description of α‐spectra in terms of solution sets and solution surfaces.

Variational Methods for NLEV Approximation Near a Bifurcation Point

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
We review some more and less recent results concerning bounds on nonlinear eigenvalues (NLEV) for gradient operators. In particular, we discuss the asymptotic behaviour of NLEV (as the norm of the eigenvector tends to zero) in bifurcation problems from the line of trivial solutions, considering perturbations of linear self‐adjoint operators in a ...
