Some remarks about the Fucik spectrum and application to equations with jumping nonlinearities

open access: yesDifferential and Integral Equations, 2002
The author studies the Fučík spectrum for a selfadjoint operator \(L: D(L)\subset L^2(\Omega)\rightarrow L^2(\Omega)\) near a multiple eigenvalue of \(L\). For further results see \textit{A. K. Ben-Naoum, C. Fabry} and \textit{D. Smets} [Proc. R. Soc. Edinb., Sect. A, Math. 131, 241-265 (2001; Zbl 0987.35118)].

Potential Landesman-Lazer type conditions and the Fucik spectrum

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2005
We prove the existence of solutions to the nonlinear problem $$displaylines{ u''(x)+lambda_+ u^+(x)-lambda_- u^-(x)+g(x,u(x))=f(x),,quad xin (0,pi),,cr u(0)=u(pi)=0 } $$ where the point $[lambda_+,lambda_-]$ is a point of the Fucik spectrum and the ...

Nonresonance Conditions on the Potential with Respect to the Fučik Spectrum for the Periodic Boundary Value Problem

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 1995
This article deals with the solvability of the periodic boundary value problem (1) \(u''+ g(u)= h(t)\), \(u(0)- u(T)= u'(0)- u'(T)= 0\), where \(g: \mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}\) is a continuous function. It is assumed that there are positive constants \(q_\pm\) and \(Q_\pm\) such that \[ q_\pm\leq \liminf_{s\to \pm \infty} {g(s)\over s}\leq \limsup_{s\to \

Evaluation of carbonification of coals using a portable Raman spectrometer

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 54, Issue 11, Page 1220-1232, November 2023., 2023
This study illustrates that it is possible to discriminate among the coals of different degrees of maturation of the carbonaceous matter and other types of carbonaceous matter using the data acquired with a portable Raman spectrometer using spectroscopic parameters: D and G band widths and wavenumber positions.

De novo 2′‐fucosyllactose bioproduction through modular engineering of a novel Escherichia coli K12‐derived strain

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 89-104, June 2023., 2023
A novel Escherichia coli K12 derivative was used as a chassis for 2′‐FL biosynthesis. Inactivation of transcriptional regulator McbR can improve 2′‐FL production. Double mutation F40S/Q237S of FutC‐J166 increased 2′‐FL titer by 1.55‐fold. Abstract The most abundant human milk oligosaccharide 2′‐fucosyllactose (2′‐FL) is a valuable component that has ...

Multi‐level metabolic engineering of Escherichia coli for high‐titer biosynthesis of 2′‐fucosyllactose and 3‐fucosyllactose

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 15, Issue 12, Page 2970-2981, December 2022., 2022
An engineered Escherichia coli was developed for high‐titer FL biosynthesis by introducing multi‐level metabolic engineering strategies. Combined with the optimization of metabolic pathways and the performance improvement of rate‐limiting enzymes, 64.62 g/L of 2 '‐FL and 40.68 g/L of 3‐FL were finally obtained in the 3‐L bioreactors.

The Fucik spectrum and critical groups [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2001
We compute critical groups of zero for variational functionals arising from semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with jumping nonlinearities when the asymptotic limits of the nonlinearity fall in certain parts of Type (II) regions between curves of the Fucik spectrum.

On some fučík type problem with cubic nonlinearity

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2011
We study the second order Fučík type problem with cubic nonlinearity  and construct the Fučík spectrum for this problem. The spectrum obtained under normalization condition (otherwise problem may have continuous spectra) structurally is similar to Fučík ...

On Fučik spectra for third order equations

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2007
We construct the Fučik spectrum for some third order nonlinear boundary value problems. This spectrum differs essentially from the known Fučik spectra.

The beginning of the Fucik spectrum for a Steklov problem

open access: yesBoletim da Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática, 2009
abstract: In this paper, we give some properties of the first nonprincipal eigenvalue for an asymmetric Steklov problem with weights, and we study the Fucik spectrum.
