Studies on thermal decomposition of sodium hydride in liquid sodium for cold trap regeneration

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
Cold traps (CT) are the integral part of liquid sodium coolant circuits of sodium-cooled fast reactors that control hydrogen and oxygen impurities within the threshold levels.

RETRACTED ARTICLE: Multivariate optimization of removing of cobalt(II) with an efficient aminated-GMA polypropylene adsorbent by induced-grafted polymerization under simultaneous gamma-ray irradiation

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Nowadays, radiation grafting polymer adsorbents have been widely developed due to their advantages, such as low operating cost, high efficiency. In this research, glycidyl methacrylate monomers were grafted on polypropylene polymer fibers by simultaneous

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Fundamental study of perfluoro oil degradative treatment by subcritical water reaction and design of bench-scale equipment

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal
Various types of machine oil are used for analysis and utility equipment, and these organic liquid wastes are stored in nuclear facilities and laboratories due to a lack of appropriate treatment processes.

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.
