Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Modeling of Tractor Fuel Consumption

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
In this paper, the energy diagnostic of tractor performance consists in evaluating the energy (fuel consumption per hectare—dm3 ha−1) for a given agricultural operation and in combining it with working capacity, also called productivity (area ...

Effect of Heavy-Truck Platooning Fuel-Efficiency Gains on Overall Fuel Efficiency

open access: yesTransportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2019
Many studies addressing the fuel-efficiency gains derived from heavy-truck platooning operations have shown that it is possible to achieve increases in fuel efficiency of 10% or more. These studies focus only on the gains realized while traveling under platooning conditions (i.e., highway speeds sustained for sizable intervals of time). However, heavy-

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

How to support fuel‐efficient driving? [PDF]

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, 2018
Energy efficient personal transportation requires fuel‐efficient and route aware driving. Driving coaching systems can provide to drivers all the information and guidance that is needed to learn these skills. However, persuading drivers to change their driving behaviour is a challenging task.

TOMM20 as a driver of cancer aggressiveness via oxidative phosphorylation, maintenance of a reduced state, and resistance to apoptosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.

Towards meeting the IATA-agreed 1.5% average annual fuel efficiency improvements between 2010 and 2020: the current progress being made by U.S. air carriers

open access: yesAviation, 2020
The purpose of this paper is to see if airlines in general, and U.S. air-carriers in particular, are meeting their IATA-agreed 1.5% average annual fuel efficiency improvements between 2010 and 2020.

Fuel Efficiency Analysis of the Public Transportation System Based on the Gaussian Mixture Model Clustering [PDF]

open access: yesProgress in Artificial Intelligence. EPIA 2024. Lecture Notes in Computer Science, vol 14968, 2024
Public transportation is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, highlighting the need to improve bus fuel efficiency. Clustering algorithms assist in analyzing fuel efficiency by grouping data into clusters, but irrelevant features may complicate the analysis and choosing the optimal number of clusters remains a challenging task.
