Unlocking Photodetection Mode Switching from a Simple Lateral Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A simple lateral 2D perovskite photodetector capable of switching among transient, continuous, and dual transient/continuous photoresponse modes is achieved by integrating photoconductive effects with capacitive coupling from the SiO2/Si substrate. Such light‐programmable photodetection mode switching enables triple‐channel information transmission and

Simvastatin Restores Uteroplacental Hemodynamics and Trophoblast Function in Obstetric Antiphospholipid Syndrome in a Placenta‐on‐a‐Chip Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Simvastatin mitigates placental hypoperfusion in OAPS by ameliorating abnormal uteromaternal hemodynamics and enhancing trophoblast invasion via optimized endothelial cell interactions under pathological shear stress, as evidenced by results from a placenta‐on‐a‐chip platform.

Isomerization Mechanism in Hydrazone-Based Rotary Switches: Lateral Shift, Rotation, or Tautomerization? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Two intramolecularly hydrogen-bonded arylhydrazone (aryl = phenyl or naphthyl) molecular switches have been synthesized, and their full and reversible switching between the E and Z configurations have been demonstrated.

Mapping Nanoscale Protein‐Corona Kinetics of DoE‐Optimized Perfluorocarbon Encapsulated‐PLGA Nanoparticles by In Situ, Time‐Resolved Synchrotron SAXS

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Steady-state ab initio laser theory for complex gain media

open access: yes, 2014
We derive and test a generalization of Steady-State Ab Initio Laser Theory (SALT) to treat complex gain media. The generalized theory (C-SALT) is able to treat atomic and molecular gain media with diffusion and multiple lasing transitions, and ...

Bifunctional Surfaces With Immobilized Antibodies and Bioactive Peptides Mediate Selective Capture and Proliferation of Endothelial Colony‐Forming Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A tunable bifunctional surface is developed by combining Fc‐binding peptides and RGD motifs to present oriented antibodies alongside integrin‐mediated signaling. The platform selectively captures endothelial colony‐forming cells while promoting their adhesion and proliferation.

Precise Identification of Coal Thickness by Channel Wave Based on a Hybrid Algorithm

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Precise prediction of coal thickness is of the utmost importance in realizing intelligent and unmanned mining. As the channel wave is characterized by an easily recognizable waveform, a long propagation distance, and strong energy, it is widely used for ...

Estimation of poroelastic parameters from seismograms using Biot theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We investigate the possibility to extract information contained in seismic waveforms propagating in fluid-filled porous media by developing and using a full waveform inversion procedure valid for layered structures.
