Microseismic Source Location Based on Full Waveform Inversion-Driven Neural Network

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems
Accurate localization of microseismic sources is essential in fields such as oil and gas extraction and underground energy storage. Current seismic source localization methods based on full waveform inversion exhibit a high degree of nonlinearity and ...

Wavefield-reconstruction-based full waveform inversion on noisy data in seismic exploration

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
Full waveform inversion (FWI) is commonly used in seismic exploration to calculate parameters of the medium, such as velocity, from the signal as it passes through the medium.

A Compendium of Logic Gates Based on Reconfigurable Three‐Independent‐Gate Transistors Realized in FDSOI Hardware

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work electrically characterizes sixteen logic gates built from three‐independent‐gate reconfigurable transistors fabricated on full‐scale 300 mm wafers using the industrial 22 nm fully depleted FDSOI process of GlobalFoundries. Static and time‐resolved measurements confirm correct operation, including a 1‐bit adder and reconfigurable AOI/OAI ...

Ultra‐Low Power Consumption and Highly Durability in Sm:HfO2 Thin Film Ferroelectric Memristor for Edge Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With the continuous development of computer image processing, developing efficient and low‐power computing devices has become a key challenge. Memristors have integrated in‐situ storage and computing capabilities, making them an ideal choice for low‐power image processing computing architectures. However, current memristors are confronted with

Synchronization of Analog Neuron Circuits With Digital Memristive Synapses: An Hybrid Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An hybrid circuit mimicking neural units coupled using memristive synapses is introduced. The analog neurons provide flexibility and robustness, and the digital memristive coupling guarantees the full reconfigurability of the interconnection. The onset of a synchronized spiking behavior in two circuits mimicking the Izhikevich neuron is discussed from ...

FULL WAVEFORM INVERSION USING REVERSE TIME MIGRATION AND GOLDEN RATIO

open access: yesJGE
Seismic wave imaging techniques, such as conventional full-waveform inversion (FWI), which utilize numerical solutions of seismic wave equations, can be a valuable tool for estimating high resolution models of complex geological conditions.

Capacitive versus Faradaic Microelectrodes for Extracellular Stimulation: A Fully Coupled FEM–Hodgkin–Huxley Study of Thresholds and Current Redistribution

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A fully coupled FEM–HH model shows that ideally capacitive microelectrodes can achieve lower charge‐density thresholds than Faradaic contacts under current‐controlled stimulation. The advantage stems from the dynamics of surface current density on capacitive interfaces, which redirects current beneath adherent neurons.

Comparison of methods for estimating Young’s moduli of mortar specimens

open access: yesScientific Reports
Precisely estimating material parameters for cement-based materials is crucial for assessing the structural integrity of buildings. Both destructive (e.g., compression test) and non-destructive methods (e.g., ultrasound, computed tomography) are used to ...

Detailed seismic velocity of the incoming subducting sediments in the 2004 great Sumatra earthquake rupture zone from full waveform inversion of long offset seismic data

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2017
The nature of incoming sediments defines the locking mechanism on the megathrust, and the development and evolution of the accretionary wedge. Here we present results from seismic full waveform inversion of 12 km long offset seismic reflection data ...
