A Certain Functional Equation [PDF]
By a simpler argument than that used by \textit{H. Haruki} [Aequationes Math. 36, No. 1, 1-19 (1988; Zbl 0656.39004)], the author determines all entire functions \(f\), \(g\), \(h\) and \(k\) satisfying the functional equation \(|f(z+ w)|+|g(z- w)|= |h(z+ w)|+ |k(z- w)|\).

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Reciprocal Convex Costs for Ratio Matching: Axiomatic Characterization
We study ratio-induced mismatch cost functions of the form c(s,o)=JιS(s)/ιO(o) built from positive scale maps ιS:S→R>0 and ιO:O→R>0 and a penalty J:(0,∞)→[0,∞).

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Generalized Wiener-Hopf Equations for Wedge problems involving arbitrary linear media [PDF]
This paper provides new functional equations in angular regions that turn useful to study wedge problems in presence of arbitrary linear media. The enforcement of the boundary conditions on these equations reduces the wedge problems to Generalized Wiener-

On a Functional Equation of Ruijsenaars
We obtain the general solution of the functional equation introduced by Ruijsenaars guaranteeing the commutativity of n operators associated with the quantum Ruijsenaars-Schneider models.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Power series expansions of arbitrary order functional difference equations [PDF]
This paper looks at some real and complex generalizations of power series associated with some arbitrary order functional difference equations considered as generalizations and extensions of Fibonacci and Lucas numbers.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Multiquartic functional equations
In this paper, we study n-variable mappings that are quartic in each variable. We show that the conditions defining such mappings can be unified in a single functional equation.
