Counting Real Zeros of Analytic Functions Satisfying Linear Ordinary Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1996
Let \(K\) be a compact real segment and let \(U\) be a simply-connected open subset of the complex plane containing \(K\). Suppose that \(f\) satisfies a linear differential equation of the form \(a_0 f^{(\nu)}+ a_1 f^{(\nu- 1)}+ \cdots+ a_{\nu- 1} f'+ a_\nu f=0\) where \(f\) and the coefficients \(a_k\) are analytic in \(U\) and continuous in the ...

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Real-world study of efgartigimod in AChR antibody-positive generalized myasthenia gravis: thymus status, multi-domain symptom improvement and steroid-sparing effect

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundEfgartigimod has been approved for the treatment of gMG. However, real-world evidence regarding its efficacy across various functional domains in patients with differing thymic statuses, as well as its steroid-sparing effect when used in ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

On the Cauchy problem for linear hyperbolic functional-differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
summary:We study the question of the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence on parameters of the Carathéodory solutions to the Cauchy problem for linear partial functional-differential equations of hyperbolic type.

Recovering Holomorphic Functions from Their Real or Imaginary Parts without the Cauchy--Riemann Equations [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Review, 2004
Summary: Students of elementary complex analysis usually begin by seeing the derivation of the Cauchy--Riemann equations. A topic of interest to both the development of the theory and its applications is the reconstruction of a holomorphic function from its real part, or the extraction of the imaginary part from the real part, or vice versa.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Neural Network Method of Controllers’ Parametric Optimization with Variable Structure and Semi-Permanent Integration Based on the Computation of Second-Order Sensitivity Functions

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This article presents a method for researching processes in automatic control systems based on the operator approach for modelling the control object and the controller. Within the method framework, a system of equations has been developed that describes
