Leading Order Calculation of Shear Viscosity in Hot Quantum Electrodynamics from Diagrammatic Methods

open access: yes, 2007
We compute the shear viscosity at leading order in hot Quantum Electrodynamics. Starting from the Kubo relation for shear viscosity, we use diagrammatic methods to write down the appropriate integral equations for bosonic and fermionic effective vertices.

Some Integral Equations Involving Hypergeometric Functions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, 1967
SummaryAn integral equation of the first kind, with kernel involving a hypergeometric function, is discussed. Conditions sufficient for uniqueness of solutions are given, then conditions necessary for existence of solutions. Conditions sufficient for existence of solutions, only a little stricter than the necessary conditions, are given; and with them ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Numerical Solution for the 2D Linear Fredholm Functional Integral Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
In this work, a numerical method is applied for obtaining numerical solutions of Fredholm two-dimensional functional linear integral equations based on the radial basis function (RBF). To find the approximate solutions of these types of equations, first,

Excited state TBA and functional relations in spinless Fermion model

open access: yes, 1999
The excited state thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) equations for the spinless Fermion model are presented by the quantum transfer matrix (QTM) approach. We introduce a more general family called T-functions and explore functional relations among them (T ...

Discontinuity relations for the AdS(4)/CFT(3) correspondence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study in detail the analytic properties of the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz (TBA) equations for the anomalous dimensions of composite operators in the planar limit of the 3D N=6 superconformal Chern-Simons gauge theory and derive functional relations ...

On Monotonic Integrable Solutions for Quadratic Functional Integral Equations [PDF]

open access: yesMediterranean Journal of Mathematics, 2012
The object of this paper is to study the stability of a nonlinear Urysohn functional integral equation \[ x(t)= f_1(t, x(\Phi_1(t)))+ f_2(t, x(t)) \int^t_0 u(t,s,x(\Phi_2(s)))\,ds,\quad t\in L. \]

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Integral equations for simple fluids in a general reference functional approach

open access: yes, 2004
The integral equations for the correlation functions of an inhomogeneous fluid mixture are derived using a functional Taylor expansion of the free energy around an inhomogeneous equilibrium distribution.
