On stochastic solutions of nonlocal random functional integral equations

open access: yesArab Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2019
In this paper, we use Schauder’s fixed point to establish the existence of at least one solution for a functional nonlocal stochastic differential equation under sufficient conditions in the space of all square integrable stochastic processes with a ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Functional integral derivation of the kinetic equation of two-dimensional point vortices

open access: yes, 2016
We present a brief derivation of the kinetic equation describing the secular evolution of point vortices in two-dimensional hydrodynamics, by relying on a functional integral formalism.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Solutions for Functional Fully Coupled Forward-Backward Stochastic Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we study a functional fully coupled forward-backward stochastic differential equations (FBSDEs). Under a new type of integral Lipschitz and monotonicity conditions, the existence and uniqueness of solutions for functional fully coupled ...

Significance of zero modes in path--integral quantization of solitonic theories with BRST invariance [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The significance of zero modes in the path-integral quantization of some solitonic models is investigated. In particular a Skyrme-like theory with topological vortices in (1+2) dimensions is studied, and with a BRST invariant gauge fixing a well defined ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Approximate Solutions of Nonlinear Integral Equations Using the Cubic B-Spline Scaling Method

open access: yesAl-Kitab Journal for Pure Sciences
This paper examines a category of general nonlinear integral equations. These equations also include many special cases, such as functional equations and nonlinear integral equations of the Volterra type.

Euler Operational Matrix of Integration and Collocation Method for Solving Functional Integral Equations [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis
In this paper, the functional Volterra integral equations of the Hammerstein type are studied. First, some conditions that ensure the existence and uniqueness of the solutions to these equations within the space of square-integrable functions are ...
