Catalytically Enhanced Near Room‐Temperature Hydrogen Sensing Using Pd‐ZnO Colloidal Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Pd‐decorated ZnO colloidal crystal monolayers demonstrate excellent performance across a wide hydrogen concentration range at 33°C, with high selectivity and reproducible device fabrication. The sensors show strong responses even at low‐ppm H2 concentrations and an ultra‐low detection limit of 82 ppb, indicating their suitability for diverse hydrogen ...

Task-evoked brain network architecture captured by the complementary integration of metabolic and functional connectivity

open access: yesNeuroImage
Cognitive task performance relies on functional adaptations in brain network organization. While much research has focused on functional connectivity, less is known about how metabolic relationships contribute to cognition.

Acid Site Design for Low Hydration Proton Exchange Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
α‐CF2 substitution adjacent to sulfonic acid increases acid strength and enables efficient proton transport under low hydration conditions. This molecular design reduces the dependence of hydrocarbon proton exchange membranes on excessive water uptake, addressing a key limitation of conventional hydrocarbon PEMs while maintaining favorable conductivity

Increasing Inter‐Micellar Connectivity Toughens and Imparts Cooling‐Induced Shape Memory in Micellar Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oligomerizing Pluronic triblock copolymers provides a processing strategy for tuning the mechanical properties and stimuli‐responsive behaviors of micellar hydrogels. Varying oligomer fraction produces hydrogels spanning brittle to highly extensible responses; maintaining micellar architectures enables cooling‐induced reverse thermal shape memory and ...

Functionalizing Micro‐to‐Mesoscopic Electrode Architectures for Regulating Electron Transfer Behaviors in Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

A deep learning-enriched framework for analyzing brain functional connectivity

open access: yesScientific Reports
Cognitive and motor functions require a coordinated communication among brain regions, with the directionality of interactions playing a key role, as the brain relies on functional asymmetries of reciprocal connections.

Sulfation‐Tunable Peptide‐Glycosaminoglycan Hydrogels for Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cell Expansion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Co‐assembly of rationally designed glycosaminoglycan‐binding peptides with sulfated glycosaminoglycans yields supramolecular hydrogels with tunable mechanics and matrix‐mediated cytokine retention. The glycosaminoglycans thereby act as cofactors, driving a coil‐to‐β‐sheet transition that triggers gelation.
