Chitosan functional properties
Glycoconjugate Journal, 1997Chitosan is a partially deacetylated polymer of N-acetyl glucosamine. It is essentially a natural, water-soluble, derivative of cellulose with unique properties. Chitosan is usually prepared from chitin (2 acetamido-2-deoxy beta-1,4-D-glucan) and chitin has been found in a wide range of natural sources (crustaceans, fungi, insects, annelids, molluscs ...

WT1 encodes a zinc finger transcription factor that is inactivated in a subset of Wilms' tumors. We have recently shown that introduction of wild-type WT1 into a Wilms' tumor-derived cell line, RM1, results in growth suppression, consistent with its function as a tumor suppressor gene.

Monotonicity properties of ‐functions
Mathematische Nachrichten, 2018AbstractWe present some monotonicity results for a class of Dirichlet series generalizing previously known results. The fact that is in that class presents a first example of an arithmetic function for which the associated Dirichlet series is completely monotonic, but not logarithmically completely monotonic. Lastly, we use similar techniques to prove

Properties of quasiperiodic functions
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2017Today, quasiperiodic tilings are well known and have been studied in great detail since they are very useful to describe the properties of metallic and soft matter quasicrystals. A closely related topic are quasiperiodic functions which have also gained large interest recently. Different types of such functions and there interrelation will be presented

Multiplicative functions with regularity properties. I
Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 1983By elementary but rather complicated arguments the author studies those pairs of multiplicative functions f and g for which \(\sum^{\infty}_{n=1}| g(n+K)-f(n)| n^{-1}
