Functional properties ofWT1

Medical and Pediatric Oncology, 1996
WT1 encodes a zinc finger transcription factor that is inactivated in a subset of Wilms' tumors. We have recently shown that introduction of wild-type WT1 into a Wilms' tumor-derived cell line, RM1, results in growth suppression, consistent with its function as a tumor suppressor gene.

Chitosan functional properties

Glycoconjugate Journal, 1997
Chitosan is a partially deacetylated polymer of N-acetyl glucosamine. It is essentially a natural, water-soluble, derivative of cellulose with unique properties. Chitosan is usually prepared from chitin (2 acetamido-2-deoxy beta-1,4-D-glucan) and chitin has been found in a wide range of natural sources (crustaceans, fungi, insects, annelids, molluscs ...

On a Property of Functions on the Sphere

Mathematical Notes, 2001
The well-known Knaster conjecture claims the following: for any points \(w_1,\dots, w_k\in S^{k+m-2}\) and an arbitrary (continuous map) \(f: S^{k+m-2}\to \mathbb{R}^m\) there is a rotation \(A\in \text{SO}(k+m-1)\) of the sphere such that \(f(Aw_1)=\cdots= f(Aw_k)\). The author proves this conjecture for the case in which \(n= p^2\) for an odd prime \(
