Vibration and Static Analysis of Functionally Graded Porous Plates [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2017
This research deals with free vibration and static bending of a simply supported functionally graded (FG) plate with the porosity effect. Material properties of the plate which are related to its change are position-dependent.

The Using of the Multilayer Plate Concept in the Calculus of Functionally Graded Plates

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
In the calculus of functionally graded plates, the concept of multilayer plate is often used. For the use of this concept in this calculus, the continuous variation of the respective properties is replaced with a step variation. The first problem that arises in front of the user is related to the number of layers, which must be a finite and reasonably ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Analysis of non symmetric FG sandwich plates under Thermo-mechanical loading using a novel shear deformation theory with stretching effect

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The analysis of non-symmetric functionally graded sandwich plates under thermo-mechanical loading is developed using a novel hyperbolic shear deformation theory and considering thickness stretching effects.

Computational modeling of sigmoid functionally graded material (SFGM) plate

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2023
The first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) was used to explore the natural frequency response of functionally graded piezoelectric plates subjected to static electrical and mechanical strain in this present study.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Isogeometric Analysis for Active Control of Piezoelectric Functionally Graded Plates in Thermal Environment

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
An isogeometric analysis (IGA) method is proposed for investigating the active shape and vibration control of functionally graded plates (FGPs) with surface-bonded piezoelectric materials in a thermal environment.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Nonlinear vibration of thick FGM plates on elastic foundation subjected to thermal and mechanical loads using the first-order shear deformation plate theory

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2015
This paper presents an analytical approach to investigate the nonlinear dynamic response and vibration of thick functionally graded material (FGM) plates using both of the first-order shear deformation plate theory and stress function with full motion ...
