Investigation of the Static Bending Response of FGM Sandwich Plates [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics
In the present work, a displacement-based high-order shear deformation theory is introduced for the static response of functionally graded plates. The present theory is variationally consistent and strongly similar to the classical plate theory in many ...

A New Sinusoidal Shear Deformation Theory for Static Bending Analysis of Functionally Graded Plates Resting on Winkler–Pasternak Foundations

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2021
In this article, a new sinusoidal shear deformation theory was developed for static bending analysis of functionally graded plates resting on elastic foundations.

Thermally Induced Bistable Functionally Graded Nanocomposite Plate

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2022
This paper explores the feasibility of using functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) in designing bistable plates. Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in this nanocomposite are assumed to have a functionally graded distribution across the thickness direction following a power law. By varying the distribution type, volume

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Influence of porosity on the analysis of sandwich plates FGM using of high order shear-deformation theory.

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2020
In this article, the analytical solutions for static of bending analysis of functionally graded sandwich plates using four-variable high order shear-deformation theory is presented.

Computational modeling of sigmoid functionally graded material (SFGM) plate

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2023
The first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) was used to explore the natural frequency response of functionally graded piezoelectric plates subjected to static electrical and mechanical strain in this present study.

Bending and vibration of functionally graded material sandwich plates using an accurate theory

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, the bending and the free flexural vibration behaviour of sandwich functionally graded material (FGM) plates are investigated using QUAD-8 shear flexible element developed based on higher order structural theory.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...
