Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

On the periodic solutions of linear homogenous systems of differential equations
Given a fundamental matrix ϕ(x) of an n-th order system of linear homogeneous differential equations Y′=A(x)Y, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a k-dimensional (k≤n) periodic sub-space (of period T) of the solution space of the ...

On Fundamental Solution for Autonomous Linear Retarded Functional Differential Equations
This document focuses attention on the fundamental solution of an autonomous linear retarded functional differential equation (RFDE) along with its supporting cast of actors: kernel matrix, characteristic matrix, resolvent matrix; and the Laplace ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Vortex counting from field theory
The vortex partition function in 2d N = (2,2) U(N) gauge theory is derived from the field theoretical point of view by using the moduli matrix approach.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Boundary value problem for system of finite-difference with averaging equations
The boundary value problem for the system of linear nonhomogeneous differential equations with generalized coefficients is considered X(t) = L(t)X(t) + F(t), M1X(0) + M2X(b) = Q, where t ∈ T = [0, b], L : T → Rpxp and F : T → Rp are right-continuous ...

Dynamical and Quenched Random Matrices and Homolumo Gap
We consider a rather general type of matrix model, where the matrix M represents a Hamiltonian of the interaction of a bosonic system with a single fermion.
