On the Crimea-Texas project "Surface abundances of light elements for a large sample of early B-type stars".

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2017
A significant part of the project is already implemented. Actually, high-resolution spectra of more than 100 early B stars were obtained. A number of basic parameters was determined including the effective temperatures Teff , surface gravities log g ...

Clusters as benchmarks for measuring fundamental stellar parameters [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv: Solar and Stellar Astrophysics, 2016
In this contribution I will discuss fundamental stellar parameters as determined from young star clusters; specifically those with ages less than or approximately equal to that of the Pleiades. I will focus primarily on the use of stellar evolutionary models to determine the ages and masses of stars, as well as discussing the limitations of such models

Plasma lipidomic and metabolomic profiles in high‐grade glioma patients before and after 72‐h presurgery water‐only fasting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

Environmental Dependence of Different Colors for the Apparent Magnitude-Limited Main Galaxy Sample of the SDSS DR7

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2013
The apparent magnitude-limited Main galaxy sample of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 7 is used to investigate the environmental dependence of u–r, u–g, g–r, r–i and i–z colors.

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Luminosity-Environment Relation in the Lowz Sample of the SDSS-III

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2016
In this work, we examine the environmental dependence of the u-, g-, r-, i- and z-band luminosities in the LOWZ sample of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 10 (SDSS DR10).

Thermal proteome profiling and proteome analysis using high‐definition mass spectrometry demonstrate modulation of cholesterol biosynthesis by next‐generation galeterone analog VNPP433‐3β in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′
