An iron‐based nanozyme selectively eliminates intratumoral P. anaerobius while catalytically generating ROS to induce ferroptosis, synergistically suppressing colorectal cancer growth and activating anti‐tumor immunity through immunogenic cell death. ABSTRACT The intratumoral microbiota is a critical determinant of therapeutic outcomes in colorectal ...

Gastric LTi cells promote lymphoid follicle formation but are limited by IRAK-M and do not alter microbial growth. [PDF]
Lymphoid tissue inducer (LTi) cells are activated by accessory cell IL-23, and promote lymphoid tissue genesis and antibacterial peptide production by the mucosal epithelium.

Characterization of the oral fungal microbiota in smokers and non‐smokers [PDF]
This study aimed to assess the effect of smoking on the biodiversity of the oral fungal microbiota of healthy young subjects, using an improved culture method that assesses both total and pathogenic viable fungi. Forty individuals (20 smokers and 20 non‐smokers) were selected. All individuals presented fungal growth (100% for molds and 92.5% for yeasts)

Sphingomonas paucimobilis‐Driven Epithelial–Endothelial Transition in Adenomyosis Pathogenesis
This study identifies epithelial–endothelial transition (EET) as a novel adenomyosis pathogenic mechanism driven by Sphingomonas paucimobilis colonization. Systematic inhibitor experiments validate a TNFα→NF‐κB→MMP signaling cascade essential for EET. Critically, bacterial culture supernatant fails to induce pathological changes, demonstrating viable ...

The Bacterial and Fungal Microbiota of Saccharina latissima (Laminariales, Phaeophyceae)
The sugar kelp Saccharina latissima dominates many temperate coastal ecosystems, plays key ecological roles and presents important economic potential. However, its microbiota remains poorly investigated, although it could play an important role in algal ...

Soil microbial communities in restored and unrestored coastal dune ecosystems in California [PDF]
Most restoration projects involving invasive plant eradication tend to focus on plant removal with little consideration given to how these invasives change soil microbial communities.

ABSTRACT Gut microbiota dysbiosis promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) tumorigenesis. A global fecal metagenomic analysis identified Gemella morbillorum as a key contributor to the CRC‐associated microbiota. Fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed that Gemella morbillorum is enriched in CRC tumor tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues.

The bacterial microbiota in the gut varies among species, as well as with habitat, diet, age, and other factors. Intestinal microbiota homeostasis allows a host to adjust metabolic and immune performances in response to environmental changes.
