Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

The Efficacy of Spraying Organic Fungicides to Control Fusarium Head Blight Infection in Spring Wheat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
There is a high demand for locally grown wheat for baking purposes throughout the Northeast. One major obstacle for growers is Fusarium head blight (FHB) infection of grain.

Interactions of Antibody Drug Conjugate Anti‐Tubulin and Topoisomerase I Inhibitor Payloads with Radiotherapy to Potentiate Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.

Can high-risk fungicides be used in mixtures without selecting for fungicide resistance? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Fungicide mixtures produced by the agrochemical industry often contain low-risk fungicides, to which fungal pathogens are fully sensitive, together with high-risk fungicides known to be prone to fungicide resistance.

Microglia Mitochondria Support Neuronal Maturation via Metabolic and Transcriptional Reprogramming in Human 3D In Vitro Brain Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
xx xx. ABSTRACT Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by disrupted neuronal circuit maturation. Emerging evidence implicates microglial function and mitochondrial regulation as contributors to ASD‐associated biology, yet the mechanisms linking these processes to neuronal development remain poorly defined ...

Sensitivity of Sclerotinia homoeocarpa isolates from turfgrass in Italy to demethylation-inhibiting (DMI) fungicides and iprodione

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2012
Sclerotinia homoeocarpa F.T. Bennett is one of the most important pathogens affecting high maintenance turfgrass in Italy. Control of this pathogen still relies on the use of fungicides. Twenty nine isolates of S.

Calcium Shock Enables Efficient and Programmable Particle Delivery for Genome Editing Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Classical transfection and transduction are inefficient, particularly with confluent cells and organoids, and lack cell type‐specific programmability. This study presents calcium shock (CaSh), a method that dramatically improves particle delivery into single cells, colonies, and organoids.

Stochastic variation and probabilistic model - estimating frequency of fungicide resistant phenotype in plant pathogen population

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2002
Methodological aspects of stochastic variation were considered on example of bioassay for estimation of fungicide resistance(KADISH & COHEN 1988). The corresponding probabilistic model for measuring frequency of fungicide resistantphenotype in a plant ...
