This review provides an in‐depth overview of the design principles and optimization strategies for terahertz (THz) metamaterials (MMs) sensors based on the dielectric perturbation theory. Various structures and methods are explored to enhance sensor performance, focusing on improving sensitivity and Q‐factor.

Local dynamics of the coffee rust disease and the potential effect of shade [PDF]
In this paper we present a mode that incorporates two levels of dynamic structuring of the coffee rust disease (caused by the rust fungus, Hemileia vastatrix). First, two distinct spatial scales of transmission dynamics are interrogated with respect to the resultant structure of catastrophic transitions of epidemics.

Biological and Mechanical Limitations for Chronic Fast‐Scan Cyclic Voltammetry Sensor Design
Real‐time detection of neurochemicals has demonstrated value in the field of neuroscience. However, current methods have limitations for use in the chronic setting, which is often the ideal environment for research. This article discusses these limitations, as well as technologies that have been developed to overcome them, and provides recommendations ...

Amphibian chytridiomycosis: a review with focus on fungus-host interactions
Amphibian declines and extinctions are emblematic for the current sixth mass extinction event. Infectious drivers of these declines include the recently emerged fungal pathogens Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis and Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans ...

Unspecific Peroxygenases have been the subject of a lot of research in the recent past as they offer opportunities for green hydroxylation reactions using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as donor. A striking problem of UPOs is their low stability against their own co‐substrate H2O2.
