Currently, investigations on the microbiota of sports centers and related facilities have been carried out in some countries, which showed that Microsporum gypseum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and T. tonsurans are important dermatoprotofungi.

How To Train Your Program: a Probabilistic Programming Pattern for Bayesian Learning From Data [PDF]
We present a Bayesian approach to machine learning with probabilistic programs. In our approach, training on available data is implemented as inference on a hierarchical model. The posterior distribution of model parameters is then used to \textit{stochastically condition} a complementary model, such that inference on new data yields the same posterior

Disease-free monoculture farming by fungus-growing termites
Fungus-growing termites engage in an obligate mutualistic relationship with Termitomyces fungi, which they maintain in monocultures on specialised fungus comb structures, without apparent problems with infectious diseases.

FERRITIN IN THE FUNGUS PHYCOMYCES [PDF]
The iron-protein ferritin has been purified from mycelium, sporangiophores, and spores of the fungus Phycomyces blakesleeanus. It has a protein-to-iron ratio of 5, a sedimentation coefficient of 55S, a buoyant density in CsCl of 1.82 g/cm3, and the characteristic morphology of ferritin in the electron microscope.

We obtained potential bacterial laccase‐like multicopper oxidase (LMCO) sequences through metagenomic sequencing. All sequences exhibited significant differences from known LMCOs in databases. To select the most promising candidates, we performed structure prediction and molecular docking using alphafold2, metal3d and rosetta.

Dynamical phase transition of a 1D transport process including death [PDF]
Motivated by biological aspects related to fungus growth, we consider the competition of growth and corrosion. We study a modification of the totally asymmetric exclusion process, including the probabilities of injection $\alpha$ and death of the last particle $\delta$.

Generic model of morphological changes in growing colonies of fungi [PDF]
Fungal colonies are able to exhibit different morphologies depending on the enviromental conditions. This allows them to cope with and adapt to external changes. When grown in solid or semi-solid media the bulk of the colony is compact and several morphological transitions have been reported to occur as the external conditions are varied.

Mode of Infection of Metarhizium spp. Fungus and Their Potential as Biological Control Agents
Chemical insecticides have been commonly used to control agricultural pests, termites, and biological vectors such as mosquitoes and ticks. However, the harmful impacts of toxic chemical insecticides on the environment, the development of resistance in ...

CSF Tau Is a Biomarker of Hippocampal Injury in Cryptogenic New‐Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus
ABSTRACT Objective Cryptogenic new‐onset refractory status epilepticus (cNORSE) is a devastating condition characterized by the de novo onset of status epilepticus with unclear etiology. The identification of relevant early biomarkers in cNORSE is important to elucidate pathophysiology, aid clinical decision‐making, and prognosticate outcomes in cNORSE.
